India to purchase S-400 Triumf air defense missile systems from Russia

On October 15, Russia and India signed a deal on the deliveries of S-400 Triumph air defense systems and other equipment to India. Delivery of Russia’s most advanced anti-aircraft defense system, the S-400 Triumph, to India could begin in 2020 according to an agreement signed by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin at the BRICS (Building Responsive, Inclusive and Collective Solutions) summit in India
